Setup & Activation Instructions –
Read Before You Begin
Before activating your Fridge Friend, please read this carefully to avoid damaging your filter. Incorrect activation can overheat the mineral, melt the inner bag, or void your warranty.
🌀 Step 1: Shake to Wake
Before microwaving or refrigerating, give your Fridge Friend a solid shake. The mineral inside may have settled during shipping and needs to be redistributed.
🔥 Step 2: Activate – Choose ONE of the following methods:
✅ Option 1: Microwave Method (Fastest)
⚠️ Important Microwave Safety Rules:
DO NOT exceed 15 seconds.
Use a folded paper towel underneath to absorb any moisture.
Microwave ONE unit at a time only.
Based on a 1,000-watt microwave. Adjust time down for higher wattage models.
No turntable or using a combi-microwave? Heat for just 10 seconds max.
Never reuse the same paper towel. Damp towels can cause overheating or damage.
🚫 Do not microwave Fridge Friend without following these rules — this may cause melting, leakage, or void your warranty.
✅ Option 2: Oven Method (Gentle & Safe)
Preheat your conventional oven to 60°C–70°C (140°F–160°F).
Place your Fridge Friend on a dry baking tray or plate.
Heat for up to 30 minutes.
Do not exceed 70°C.
✅ Option 3: Sun Method (Eco-Friendly)
Place in direct sunlight (e.g. windowsill, dashboard) for at least 3 hours.
Ensure it’s not inside a sealed container (airflow helps the process).
❄️ Step 3: Let It Cool
After heating, allow Fridge Friend to cool down fully before placing it in your fridge.
Cooling time varies, but allow at least 15–30 minutes until it’s at room temperature
